Cookies Policy

Cookies and how they benefit you

The Take Part platform and Application Website use cookies, as almost all websites do, to help provide you with the best experience possible. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile phone when you browse websites.

Our cookies help us to:

  • make the Application Website work as intended by us;
  • save you having to login every time you visit the Application Website;
  • improve the speed/security of the Application Website;
  • continuously improve the Application Website for you; and
  • determine if you are logged in to the Application Website or not.

There is no way to prevent these cookies being set other than not to use the Application Website.

We do not use cookies to:

  • collect any personally identifiable information (without your express permission);
  • pass data to advertising networks; or
  • pass personally identifiable data to third parties.

Granting us permission to use cookies

If the settings on your software that you are using to view the Application Website (your browser) are adjusted to accept cookies, we take this to mean that you accept cookies.

How we use cookies

Login Cookies

We use cookies to determine if you are logged in to the Application Website or not. These are required to allow you to apply. If you turn off cookies, you will not be able to use the Application Website.

Anonymous Visitor Statistics Cookies

We use cookies to compile visitor statistics such as how many people have visited the Application Website, what type of technology they are using (e.g. Mac or Windows, which helps to identify when the Application Website isn't working as effectively as it should for particular technologies), how long visitors spend on the Application Website and what page(s) they look at. This helps us to continuously improve the Application Website. These so called “analytics” programs also tell us, on an anonymous basis, how people reached the Application Website (e.g. from a search engine) and whether they have visited before.

We use Google Analytics. You can use Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on if you do not wish to participate. You will still be able to login and complete your application.

It may be that your concerns around cookies relate to so called "spyware". Rather than switching off cookies in your browser, you may find that anti-spyware software achieves the same objective by automatically deleting cookies considered to be invasive. Learn more about managing cookies with anti-spyware software.

As above, we do not use cookies to collect any personally identifiable information (without your express permission).
